Koen is co-founder and partner of Darel Consultancy and Darel Education since 2017. Before that time, he had a long standing career, switching between entrepreneurial, managerial and consulting roles. He (co-)owned a company with 150 employees (2009-2016) and pursued different leadership roles within the multinational chemical company AkzoNobel (1988-2008). He has always had 'bottom line' responsibility as manager of business units/departments and as owner/director of companies. As a result, he has gained first-hand experience with private equity, shareholders and supervisory boards. Lived and worked in Europe, Australia and Asia. He sees himself as analytical, loyal, phlegmatic and persevering.
