Coen is trained as mechanical engineer and worked in various on- and offshore technical project management roles for oil companies, engineering contractors and builders. He started several companies and is involved in various technical start-ups as advisor. He is keen on helping traditional fossil based companies to change to renewable energy as soon as possible.
