Green steel transition
This steel company has decided on a “moonshot vision” of hydrogen-based, clean steelmaking as the future direction. This project is part of a major program that will fundamentally change the way they will be making steel. A total refit of the factory and steelmaking process including the phased replacement of the two blast furnaces by installations that produce Direct Reduced Iron. Project costs are estimated well over €2 billion.
Our role
Darel’s role involves supporting the project as project director, project procurement manager in leadership role. While also filling supporting roles in the permitting, government subsidy and assurance team.
